What Do You Think Of Men With Tattoo,s On Their Necks ?

i very stupidly got a 1"x1" tattoo on back of my neck behind the ear about 7 years ago, since then i have tried laser 4 times, plus i have had a tatooist inject a compound into it to try get it off. the laser has now left me with a 4" square white scar which has been there years now and is a sight, the skin colour will not grow back , ever !! im now left with a scaring plus the original tattoo is still there a little. i was at a tattooist yesterday and he suggested getting another more tastefull tattoo over it..i dont know, i am 46 years old, i fear i will regret it ...what do people think of tattoos on neck wether tastefull or not, do not want to look any more like a thug or a chav than what i allready look lol

i don;t like tattoos of any shape, colour and type, most fade with time so you can't really tell what they are .

I was at the boxing Saturday night and said to an old school mate that it was full of wannbe hard men with tattoos on their neck. He promptly opened his shirt to reveal his neck tattoos...

I hate this "fashion" for tattoos.

Hopefully soon this fashion will change and all the people with tattoos will be rushing around trying to get rid of them.

Those of us of a certain age can remember the fashion for "shell suits" which looked fine at the time, but a few years later they looked stupid, but at least people could take them off and buy new clothes.

Not so easy to do with tattoos, once he fashion changes, or you tire of them, not easy (or cheap) to get rid of them.

I HATE any sort of tattoo above the neck line. I saw a man with "star" tattoos all over his face the other day.

I think anybody with tattoos that show on or near the face should be banned from getting any sort of job seekers allowance as I feel they have chosen to make themselves so unattractive and aggressive they are not likely to get a job.

A lot of footballers have tattoos down their arms, and when they wear short sleeve shirts during the match they look awful, and aggressive.

I tend to feel the more tattoos you have got the lower your IQ.

Personally I loathe them. but each to his own I suppose. They seem to be fashionable for all ages. Thankfully, both my sons hate them and have never been tempted.

I couldn't care less what people do with their own bodies, although I do sometimes find certain facial tattoos a bit too much. I know it's too late now but I think it's a bad idea to try to get a tattoo removed, the scars invariably look worse than the tattoo. It's really up to you as to wether you have another one.

What does it say about you? Old men with tattooed arms = old sailor, or tough ex-Army. Never see an old flyer with any; it was never a tradition, never part of belonging. Anyone else? It suggests 'chav' ! What group are such people identifying with ?

On women, it never seems attractive unless they are going for Lydia the Tattooed Lady's look: "When her muscles start relaxin', Up the hill comes Andrew Jackson" !

I don't think IQ has anything to do with tattoos. Just because you don't see your doctor or lawyer without his shirt on doesn't mean that when he takes it off he's not smothered in tattoos. I know some of them are. But if you did find out your doctor had tattoos would you think he was any less capable than before you found out?

my oh got a tattoo years ago after a run ashore it's on his arm and i like it , not quite so keen on neck and face ones ,tilly made a good suggestion grow your hair or use a make up which can disguise scars
