From time to time, I get like a little cobweb/kaleidoscope pattern in my vision. Then I get a neck ache. It does pass after an hopur or so, is it anything to fret about? TIA

What you're seeing is called a 'scintillating scotoma'....I read about them in a book called Migraine by Oliver Sacks. I've had them for years. Luckily the headache that follows is not bad.

no, it's an occular migraine
The kaleidoscope pattern sounds like what I used to get preparatory to a migraine headache.

Thanks Bednobs. Big help.
Just googled it, and I can save myself money spent on liquid neurofen. It does indeed pass after 30/45 mins, I assumed it was cos I took pills.
Next time, I will leave the pills alone, and see what happens. If it's self limiting, that's good.
I get something similar, a black and white zigzag pattern. Only get a dull headache after it's cleared up but it makes me feel washed out for the rest of the day. Was told at hospital that it was a type of migraine.
I get that too, it's a precursor to me having a migraine, so I take Imigran and it stops the thing in it's tracks!

Sorry, I shouldn't have joked.
Hi Ferlew. I get a crescent with a stained glass effect! I never get the headache though-just the visual phenomenon.
Best wishes

I get this but relaxed after Robinia told me what it was, mine always goes after 20mins, don't like it though.
I've also had the same. Goes within an hour, but scary when it happens. It was diagnosed as a painless migraine.
