I am going to bed! Hot upstairs so I was lying on the settee with the laptop on my lap, annoying people on AB and listening to spooky stories on 4extra.
Suddenly a bloody great black and white cat jumped up onto my shoulder. I don't have a cat...never had one in this house.
Lord did I scream....scared the c**p out of the cat...laptop went flying and my heart is beating so fast it hurts. Sodding cat couldn't find the door it came in and went charging round the sitting room.....so bed with a drink now I think....:-(

We used to go camping many years ago. We got back to our tent after a long day out and found a cat had given birth to kittens on our bed!!! Luckily the owner of the site was a cat lover and brought a basket and took them away. ugh!

gness...I dare not leave a door open into my house for fear of a damn fox.

Anyway it's your laptop which I am concerned about.

The worse thing one can do is to use a lappy whilst it's perched on a soft service. It can lead to it overheating and causing serious damage.

gness..There's no further comment from me, except to say that I may sometimes appear in the columns of AB to be something of a hard man; but the truth is that I am a real old softie, and my wife is able to confirm it.
