I know I should've worked this afternoon, but it was just so jolly down on the front.

I had a mid morning meeting in ponky London, and then ...

Well, the day went a bit pear shaped after that.

I blame it on the Evil Day Star.

I hope I'm not alone. The Evil Day Star is making us all feel a bit lethargic, yes?

Not just me.

I like that work, ponky :)

Very hot in Manchester but at work all day though went for a nice Caribbean tea after though with a friend, felt quite sleepy after that :)
Embarrassingly little work has been undertaken over the last few days......

I sometimes miss the discipline of corporate life........freelancing means I can throw the curtains open and declare it a sun day!
No it's not just you JJ. We managed a productive morning shopping and visiting an old friend after which we returned home full of good intentions and what did we do? We filled a bucket full of ice threw in some cans of cider and a bottle plum wine and sat about on the patio doing nothing again.

Caribbean tea?

Ooh, exciting. What's in that?

:0)

It is ponky because the air ponks, and you don't notice it after a while, until you get the train home and its so much cleaner when you get off the train.
Question Author
Oh, Eccles ... that discipline is SO hard to keep up.
Question Author
Oh, Paddy ... bliss!

Tell us about this plum wine.
Whatever you choose from the Caribbean café :) (I drew the line at ordering goat though). Chicken and rice with their special sauce and veg and a can of Ting, it was lovely :)
Yes jj you are right, the Evil Day Star is shining brightly on me today. MrAsk has gone into hospital for a knee replacement operation. We were up a 5am for him to get there, and I think I've OD'd on the coffee and wine. I'm bored, the hospital is in a bit of a sleazy area of Leeds and difficult to get there by bus from where I live. Done loads of washing, now it all wants ironing.
Question Author
Chicken and rice? Fab, Eve.

I've had goat curry in the Caribbean because ... well, you just do, don't you.

Oh, AYG ... that's quite a day. Well, at least it didn't rain on you.
Some friends of ours grow all sorts of soft fruit as well a having a small orchard, the crops of which he distributes around his friends in return for a portion of the fruit in what ever new form it takes, which in our case is usually alcohol. We're down to two bottles of the 2011 vintage which though I say it myself turned out very well.
Question Author
Oh, fab, Paddy. How jolly.

:0)

I hope you get a new supply !!
I built a wine rack in the back part of the garage which about 200 bottles most home made. Over the years we've tried just about everything you can imagine, some turned out to be pretty grim but some are fantastic
evening jj

just how pear shaped did it go and in what way?
Question Author
Ooh, paddy ... that's so cool.
Question Author
Hey, Humber x

Well, it only went pear shaped because pi should have come back and done some work.

But ... err, I sort of went down on the front, had a late lunch, and then ... there's no good way to put this ... I just hung out on the beach for a bit.

I know, I know, I was a lazy bum.
You're only here once JJ (according to popular theory). You have Father Zacs blessing.
Well this our summer so you have to grab it when you can - enjoy
I don't know what is the Evil Day Star....?
Question Author
