Hi

I've had a pain down my left breast and lung for a few days and pretty much my left side.

Its like that way when your pregnant and just want to come home and take your bra off your so uncomfortable.

If I sniff its sore and I can only do a small sniff

I have had a bad flu over december but recovered by new year and I've just been left with no energy. I'm not sure if this would have anything to do with it. I stopped coughing from the flu a while ago and the sorness has just been the last few days

Any idea what this could be?

Sounds like pleurisy or costochondritis.
have you been eating and drinking rather well for any reason over the last 2 weeks and perhaps gone up a bra size?
I have also had a sharp pain and as I was sure it wasn't my heart thought I would see if it passed and it has. Turns out it was Pleurisy.

Mine was purely on my left side and became more localised as time passed.
Yes, it sounds like pleurisy to me as well. If so, it doesn't need treating unless it hangs around for a bit longer:

If you are coughing, ill, a temperature and difficulty with breathing it is pleurisy and as you are not then it certainly isn't.

There is a difference ....a big difference between "pleurisy" and "pleuritic" pain.

It is almost certainly muscular in nature and will settle with Ibuprofen 600mgs up to every 4 hours if necessary.

In the unlikely event that it gets worse OR you become ill (cough and temp) then see your GP)
