i have a theory....... do pet owners ie dogs/cats who cast, have a tendency to excess ear wax ?

They may have but not exclusively. I've no pets (I'm not counting the fish as they are fairly hairless) but I could run my own candleworks.

As the owner of 2 housecats and a dog that could make wigs for those hairless ones, I can safely say no. I have never had a problem with earwax and I've never had to have my ears syringed.
