I feel a bit 'weird' today. I can't really describe it, but the only word I can think of is 'detached'.
I feel really cold, even though I have the heating on and a hoody, and a bit jittery - if that's the right word to use. I can't really think straight and keep finding myself sat here staring into space.
I can feel my anxiety slowly creeping in, and am worried.

I had quite a lot to drink last night and although I don't feel hungover, I'm wondering if this could be the reason I feel like this. I've been working non-stop for the past few weeks and needed a bit of release.

Is this normal and would you say it's the direct result of maybe overdoing it?

Sounds like the guilt you get when you've over indulged and are worried about what you might have said or done or something...
I get like that sometimes... Usually at work after a sleepless night or something. I just try and snap out of it somehow...

I'm so helpful, I know lol!

Hope you're feeling better soon Bluey! xx

Well I definitely haven't said or done anything bad. I know that much.
I wasn't plastered or anything, just very very merry.

Thanks Erin. Actually, maybe tiredness is a factor. I haven't been sleeping much lately. I should probably get off my arse and get on with some housework, but I just start something and then forget what it is I'm supposed to be doing :-/
Can you not get out for a bit? Go to the shop and get some fresh air....

I was drinking last night and feel surprisingly fresh today. Birthday luck I suppose lol!

xx
Could be the mind has clicked into a slightly detached state for a while. Can happen. If so it'll wear off.

Or if it is something you are coming down with (you did say you felt cold, which I assume is not down to not wearing enough jumpers) you'll probably know within 24 hours.

Erin, I'm not even washed... let alone dressed! :/
I'm picking the kids up at 5 though, so I'd best get my arse into gear and get shifted.

OG, yeah, you may be right. There's a lot going round at work, so maybe it is the start of something :(

Erin, I'm so sorry, I only just noticed the birthday comment.

HaPpY bIrThDaY!!! :-) xxx
Alcohol and tiredness definitely have given you this melancholy mood and induced a certain amount of resultant anxiety.
You will feel better tomorrow if you have a good night's sleep and don't drink. Promise!!
Perhaps you've got a cold coming - I feel like that and I know I'm harbouring a head cold :-(
.. and yes I agree with you too, I've been on leave all week after a difficult time, it's always when I'm on leave that I permit myself to get sick.

I agree. I think a good nights sleep and a nice cup of tea will sort me right out.
I did think earlier that I might have been coming down with something, Boxtops, as my throat was starting to feel a bit sticky. I'm sure I'll be right as rain in the morning.
Thank you :-)
It sounds like a mild hangover to me.
Thanks Bluey! Feel better soon love x
Hi Bluestone -sorry to hear you're not well and sorry to be the bearer of perhaps bad news - well not that bad but both me an OH have been knocked sideways a couple of weeks ago by a bug going around that started with symptoms just like yours - sore tickley throat - going very hot then very cold - jittery -a feeling of a hangover -can't be ars*d to do anything -so bad OH took a few days off work -first in 20 years so it was bad. It took a week to start, peak and fade away - hope you haven't got it but if you have try and take it as easy as you can and spiced rum with hot lemon a beechams powder and teaspoon of manuka honey works wonders .
That's how I felt on Wednesday morning. By Wednesday evening I was hugging the toilet bowl :/
Tiredness, hangover, cold weather, perhaps a cold coming on, working too hard, general "over doing it" can be many factors. You mentioned anxiety, do you suffer with anxiety issues? I had a bad year last year, work and relationships were just too stressful and I got a bit low. I found that my anxiety was increased when I was feeling tired or hungover. Dont underestimate how much the body needs rest, the world seems a lot harder when you are tired and it can even bring on physical symptoms.
Let us know how your day goes!!

Hi all.
Thanks so much for the further responses. I feel much, much better today, thank you :)
I think it was a combination of tiredness and alcohol - which in turn brought on my anxiety.
Touch wood, I don't feel ill or anything - which is good as I'm working for the next three weeks without a day off!

JD, yeah I do suffer with the old anxiety/panic attacks, although nowhere near as much as I used to.
I'm the same as you, they generally tend to happen more when I'm tired or a bit stressed out. Think it's just that time of the year.

Thanks again :-)
