I get costochondritis quite regularly- inflammation of the sternum linked with ulcerative colitis arthritis but since having the cough cold bug that has lasted a month, I have a pressure pain in the centre of my sternum when I cough or lean forward. Do you think this is linked with the cough/cold or costochondritis, or could it be something else? It generally doesn't bother me during the day, moreso when I try and turn in bed or sit up from lying down. I'll see the doc next week but just wanted your opinion. Thanks!

From what you say.....your cough is exacerbating your pre-existing costo-chondritis in my opinion.

No big deal.
