I am looking for a great place for a two night group getaway in Cumbria - somewhere quiet and sophisticated, not a tourist hotspot - any ideas? Oh and we want to go self catering.

Type in Accommodation in Kendal, there are quite a few & the area is a good walking area.

definately consider the Calder House Hotel in Seascale, it is amazing and right on the beach with stunning views across to the isle of man
