My daughter has got long, curly hair which is thick and soft and very easily tangled.  It is virtually impossible to comb or brush it every day.  The only way to do it is when she has conditiioner on her hair but we can't do that each day.  Anybody got any suggestions?  She doesn't like the idea of having it cut short.

My mum has curly hair and instead of brushing her hair everyday she just flips her head over and runs her fingers through it, it doesn't get frizzy like it does if she brushes it.  The only time she actually brushes it is after washing it, she combs through a de-tangling, no frizz serum with a wide tooth comb and lets it dry naturally.   It doesn't stop all tangles, but with curly hair you're never really going to win that battle.

Have just read this same problem in a magazine and they suggeted sleeping on a silk pillow and the hair won't become tangled.

My best friend has very curly hair and she doesn't brush it. It would just frizz up. She combs it with an afro comb when she washes it. She uses serum on it every time she washes it too.

My sister also has the same problem, she tends to comb it with a n afro comb and then wear it in plaits to keep it knot free. H x

You can get 'leave-on' conditioner. Avon do one. Don't know if this would help, but it's possibly worth a try.
I also have curly hair and I used to hate it because its so difficult to manage. I've figured out what works now and I'm really happy. I never brush my hair because it makes it fizzy, I just run my fingers through it when its wet, then I put on plenty of moose and dry it with a diffuser (or even better let it dry natually). In the morning when I get up I spray some water on it to calm it down. I don't like to use conditioners because they seem to make my hair more fizzy and unmanageble but my hair is pretty healthy anyway and doesn't need it. Hope this helps :-) M
