My left eye is very sore today - not the actual eye, but in the eye socket and under the brow - could this just be a strain? I've been on the computer a lot in the past few days, and I know that my glasses need changing - I'm having to get a pair for reading, as well as a new pair for short-sightedness. but I worry, as I have had iritis in the past - about 9-10 years ago. Unfortunately I cannot remember the AB'er who is an eye doctor - is it york something? Thanks for any help.

Thanks Sqad
i would also get a pain like this,if i have been looking over the top of my glasses,to read something.
Why don't you think about varifocals, islasmum? I've had them for several years now - it took a while to get exactly the right combination for me, but there's no way I'd swap back now. The centre band of my lens is set just right for my computer monitor.

That's something I had thought about, Boxtops, but what put me off a little bit is that both my sisters have tried varifocals and neither of them got on with them, but I will ask the optician about them next time I visit.
Interesting you say that, bunkmoreland, (nice avatar, by the way) as that's how I spend half my time at present - looking over the top of my specs to read something - I am getting new glasses, but not until July as I can't afford them until then.
thanks islasmum,i love a good sunset ;-). as long as i either lift the glasses up or take them off, even to read a small amount, i dont get that pain anymore!
