Hiya Sqad :)

I've had a croaky throat on and off for a week (although my husband has noticed it for a while if I'm tired).

What could be the cause of this? Should I be worried? I'm 25, never smoked. It's just a bit annoying. I had a look on google and didn't like what I read.

Thanks x

Sqad's usually about first thing in the morning, missC - if he doesn't reply tonight, try a reminder then!

Seriously though - go to the doctor. There's a disclaimer on the Health section here. Whether you smoke or not, if you are worried, that's the place to go.

Thank you boxtops. I prob will go to the docs next week about it. Wondering if it could be some sort of allergy, really don't know.

Ah don't you wish there wasn't such a thing as google at times! lol

Hopefully Sqad will reply in the morning then x
Morning my love.

First thing.....never Google symptoms......:-)

Secondly a "croaky voice" o and off for a week is no big deal. It may well be due to voice abuse (shouting, excess talking or singing), it may be a mild upper respiratory tract infection or as you say a mild allergy (grass pollen etc)

My advice......do nothing......monitor the situation for the next fortnight.

Keep us informed.

Thanks so much Sqad. Just realised I hadn't replied to you and didn't want you to think I was rude.

Anyway, as it happens now - my voice is back to normal :)

Hope all is ok with you xx
