Hi chazza, I wear Dior foundation and and set it with a little Dior powder, I find that it lasts all day and often into early evening.

thanks but i love the foundation i use ( i found it difficult to get the right colour) and have just bought a new one so i was looking for something to put on either over or under it?
There are lots of make-up bases around but usually only the more expensive brands sell them. Clarins do a beauty flash balm which you put foundation directly onto and can be used as a mask to give radiance too. Elizabeth Arden do one called Good morning skin serum which leaves your skin really velvety i am currently using this one. Kanebo do one called 10 seconds awakening essence which has silk in to hold water in your skin. I think Decleor used to do one but not sure if they still do. Elemis also do that doubles up as a skin serum for mature skin cant exactly remember the name its been a while since my beauty days unfortunately but hope that helps a bit. Would say clarins is your best bet think it costs around 15.

heyA, i know you said thAt you find it hArd to find A foundAtion that suits you, but if by Any chaNce you use Revlon, then their 'colour stay' one is really good, and of course they do the sAme shades in All different varieties.

but if you don't already use revlon, maybe you could get one of the beAuty therapists to mAtch your current colour to A revlon one.

is your one quite olily?

Perhaps your moisturiser contributes to oils in your skin, which makes the foundation come off quicker.

Cleanse and tone/rinse thoroughly in the morning. Leave time between moisturiser and applying the foundation, and/or try using an oil-free one in the morning and a creamier one at night if needed.

Powder really helps a lot, if you can get a translucent shade to suit. Get loose powder and dab on gently with a puff. Use a huge very soft brush to flick off all the excess, so you don't look "caked"

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer is really good.  It's expensive but these things usually are unfortunately!
Hi Chazza - one that is guaranteed to last all day is Estee Lauder's Doublewear.  Lovely matt finish but quite expensive at 22-ish.  Needs industrial-strength make-up remover to get it off!!!   Well worth a try!
