My daughter hurt her wrist approx 2 weeks ago, she is taking brufen 4 hourly + paracetamol, inbetween, I bought her a wrist strap, Injury is within her wrist coming up to her baby finger (last digit) she can move all fingers but still very painfull, she woke up one morning with pain in her wrist she thinks she did it getting out of bed one morning, we both have water beds and she thinks she sprained it that way, no medication is helping at all, you can here something grinding and grating in her wrist when she tries to move it ,
any advice on what else I can do for her please

thanks

Apart from taking painkillers and hoping it will go away on its own your only other alternative is go to your GP and check that it's nothing more serious than a sprain.
I would suggest that she attends A&E as an XRay may well be required to rule out a bony injury.
I pulled a musce in my shouder some weeks back. I was the most painful thing I have experienced. Lasted for about 10 days. 2 x 400mg ibuprofen four hourly hardly touched the pain. I also put ice on it and went for physio.
As squad has said you do need to check that there isnt any bone damage but in the mean time i would definitely reccomend using ice
