What kind of skin do you have? Oily, dry, normal? Your age would also help... only if you want to tell though :)
L'Occitane's Brightening Cleansing Foam is very gentle and leaves the skin feeling good.

im 31 tomorrow and want some good advice about a skin care routine, my skin is oily and dry, so i would say combination.
This German range is excellent and not expensive:

I have combination skin as well and I really like this.. http://www.cleanandcl...action-cream-cleanser
It's oil free (every product I use on my skin is oil free) and because it's a cream it keeps it nice and soft. I use the moisturiser from the same range after cleansing.

The Clean and Clear Advantage range is also good but it's a bit dearer. (They are all reasonably priced though as they are a high street brand). I used their spot treatment from the advantage range and it is excellent. I rarely use it now because the face wash and moisturiser are working so well.

For exfoliation I use the Clean and Clear face wash and exfoliating gloves (very lightly) about twice a week.
clinique is superb...the only brand that deals with my oily skin on my t-zone and sensitivity to perfume/alcohol etc. it may be expensive, but it lasts a long time and is value for money - i have spent hundreds of pounds on products which just don't work. you can also go to boots and get the assistants to show you how products work and demonstrate skincare routine/make up products.
face washes strip your skin of natural oils. Plain water is the best then a non fragranced moisuriser like aqueous cream x
Myself and Rozia both have excess oil on our skin and water wont get rid of that.
rozia has combination. The moisuriser should help it. :-) or a change in diet. I used to have quite dry patchy skin but coming off pill helped.
you can make a facial wash out of aqueous cream too and use a exfoliating pad, specially for the face, they sell them in boots x
The moisturiser will but not the water... I'm on the pill too.. i've often wondered about what effects it has on my skin because i've been on it so long.
A bar of carbolic soap does all skin types!
i was on it over 10 years, i never ever thought that would be the cause of my problem skin but has really cleared up, shame i have put on 1 and a half stone too though lol
Oh god... i'll just stay on it then! haha! I can put up with a few spots :)
it will all settle in time and wish id taken a break from it years ago.
I use Nivea Face Wipes for sensitive skin, then rinse in warm water and apply Nivea moisturiser. I recommend it.
