Just wondering if you've ever told a lie to your partner?  if so, what?

if youre refering to men - then its LIES not a lie they tell their partner
couldn't possibly say.
What if he read this post?

Seriously as I blush every time I lie I don't very often do it, other than re presents before Christmas.
I'm as honest as the day is long ! but my mate lies like a cheap watch to his missus....nothing to do with me, I was just the lookout!

Sitting next to my partner on the settee one evening, I told him that I was pregnant, the house was on fire, his motorbike was on its side on the drive, the cat had been sick in his crash helmet and that I was leaving him.

As expected, he didn't hear me - he was glued to the screen (an advert I think), thus confirming once again that there are indeed men who can't do more than one thing at a time.

(yes I did leave him in the end...)

Nope(:~

In 33 years - the answer is 'Yes'.  Not huge ones - some to protect him - and some to protect me!    There is a difference between lying and just not telling, and I am quilty of doing this quite often.

'guilty' not 'quilty'!
At this moment, I can't remember a lie I have told him.

I suppose stuff where you're lying, but only joking at the same time don't count do they, because I always tell him.

And the art of a lie is to never tell!

i lied to my gf about the number of women id slept with in the past-only to make her feel better because her number was way higher than mine!

i may have 'accidentally forgotten' the correct number of drinks i have had on a night out..

I don't tell lies, but I beleive some things are best left unsaid, as FP has also said. I am sure he probably does the same to me!

I can't remember actually lying to my husband, as I'm not a very good liar & it would play on my mind. I believe in 'not saying anything' rather than lying. Obviously, I have in the past stretched the truth a little, so as not to worry him, or to protect him, but I wouldn't class that as lying as in deceiving - if you get what I mean.

Yep - but small white lies, as said by someone else, to protect him really. If I got chatted up say, on a night out with the girls or if someone came onto me at work I wouldnt tell him. I wouldnt want to hear about it if it was the other way round... so I guess some things are better kept to yourself. Oh yeah if I get a bonus at work, a small one then I will keep it towards something... cos otherwise it gets sucked in with other bills and nonsense things!!
