is it worth scrapping it in?

i have lots of silver jewellery, but also some just metal...how can i tell? - other than a hallmark

you will have to get the metal verified. 925 is also sometimes printed on silver instead of a full hallmark. We are paying 25p- 30p gram at the shop i work in for silver, so although the price is high at the moment, unless you have loads it will not be enough to retire on Joko.
