Boots are selling Nivea on special offer at the moment, we took it on holiday this year and we didn't burn at all.
Spray on is best. It's not as thick.
Have you got those sun protection swim suit things - thing #1 is very fair skinned and didn't burn at all on holiday (and is was cry hot at times).
^very
Get the sort with the little pumpy handle, like a plant sprayer.

It's SO much easier to apply.
I use Boots Soltan for all the family. It is not too thick and easy to rub in, and you can get containing insect repellent which is a huge bonus. It is reasonably priced too.
I used a couple of apply once daily sun protection products on holiday. I was very impressed as it was very hot and there was a lot of time spent in and out of pool and the products stood up to the test.
They were calypso once a day products. I used an spf50 (for my young son) which was a cream which applied like any suncream and an spf30 which was a spray on lotion which applied very very easily. At the time both products were around £7 each from Asda and worth every penny.

Thanks, I did look at the once a day and wasnt sure if they really worked! Got some ideas now anyway.
I do have a uv suit for my youngest 'thing' lol! Does make it easier with less skin exposed definitely.
Morrisons own brand £2.99 upwards

As for whether or not it works, any suncream will work, brand names are no better than own brands. If it says factor 30 on the bottle then that's what you're getting, no matter if it has Boots or Soltan or Morrisons or Nivea et al on the front of it
The once sun sun cream only works if you spend less than 40 mins a day in the pool/sea.
I took the Calypso brand once a day factor 20 to Tenerife (just got back on Friday, went for 3 weeks) and didn't burn at all. (I am very fair skinned and burn easily, I didn't lay out sunbathing all day but was walking about so was out in the sun). I also took the Calypso ordinary cream factor 30 but didn't use it as the once a day worked very well. Calyso also do an aftersun with insect repellant which was brilliant - never got bitten at all.
