Whats the difference between 'Wifi' and 'Wireless'?

So are they the same thing?
To finish you question... essentially Wi-Fi is a standard ( IEEE 802.11) for wirelss connectivity, whereas "wireless" is a generalized term for connecting and using anything without... wires.
Example; Cellular telephones are wireless but do not rely on Wi-Fi standards for the connection, whereas your home-Wi-Fi net work for connecting printers, modems, etc. relies on a standard for them all to operate interchangeably...
