Probably B C A for me. However although I agree that modern dentistry is fairly pain free but I still sit there waiting for it to hurt. Also I hate the noise of the drill.

NP 2sp, but aren't we supposed to be reassuring nellypope? xx

I had wisdom teeth out under general anaesthetic (the Colonel was away that day)

As Lottie says, dentistry is great these days.

Thankyou! I had wisdom teeth out under both circumstances (local and general) and that's supposed to be the most painful. I guess I should just let the dentist do their work and stop worrying! But their is something about the dentist that just makes you fear the worsT! I had a C-Section 21 months ago under a spinal block, the spinal block wore off partially during the procedure (you can imagine the pain and screaming) and I will be completely honest, given the choice I would rather have the faulty spinal block and C-section rather than a root canal!!!

Our dentist gives you drugs and you might feel it but wouldn't care if he took your leg off.
oooooh nelly blooming heck and blooming norah. Jeepers,

Gas and air, now you're talking!!
It's guuuuud stufff
having been unlucky enough to have experienced all three i would go in order of pain:

Root Canal
Extraction
Filling
B C A, but if you are unlucky, as both my husband and I were, then the root canal filling didn't work and we both had to have extraction anyway. We have both said that we would not have root canal fillings again, and refused one in favour of extraction last year.
C B A. Suggests Codiene iBuprofin and Aspirin.
b, c, a.

Well I have had all three and must say the only pain I have had in all of them is the C Extraction but not until afterwards.! The I got a Dry Socket and that was really painful for over a week.
My dentist had to wake me up after a root canal filling a few years ago, I just fell asleep!
