It's not a worm I've seen before. I took a picture if that could help anyone. I looked at the parasitic worms that live in humans, i couldnt find it anywhere, it looks like a little rattlesnake (the end of it) with balls as a body....kind of like pearls, but different color and it has this weird mouth like a...hook? its so hard to explain it. i have a picture, and i'm completely freaked out it came out of me. It is dead.

..First let's get a few things straight. There's no worm in tequila, or at least there isn't supposed to be. Purists (hah!) say the worm belongs only in a related product, mescal. Strictly speaking, mescal is a generic term meaning any distillate of the many species of agave (or maguey) plant, tequila included. Today,...

I find the colour of the water more disturbing TBH.
Me too chuck!
it looks a bit like a pond, not a toilet
oooo ta Chucky. Hey that's one colourful little critter innit?

That has to have been in the toilet before she went...right? Incidentally, are we looking at pee coloured toilet water? As like everyone else i'd be worried about it's green colour!
she might have been eating mushy peas?
That looks more of a bladder type worm, they turn urine green :-)
Cheesus!!!!!!
Why..oh why did I read this thread.....Now that image will stay with me forever.
*pukes!!! =)
OK, I lied!!! no idea what it is really!!!!
Good god, RATTER I didn't know you could get worms in your bladder. And there was me thinking it might be the colour of the toilet, not the actual water. I suppose if you can get worms in other places there is no reason why you can't get them there. If it was me I would be hammering on the doctor's door shouting LET ME IN, I DON'T CARE IF YOU HAVEN'T GOT AN APPOINTMENT UNTIL NEXT TUESDAY.
Naughty RATTER - you had me going there.
LMAO!!!

think starbuck needs a medicinal gin now, heh!
why did i look, why why
i need eye bleach
Bit early in the morning BOO and it would be on an empty stomach, but later on perhaps, not gin though I don't like it, a nice port and lemon - yes.
I think passing the worm from your bladder may not have been too comfortable. imagine watching that drop out, ROFLMAO!!!!!!
No Drfilth, those are just meal worms.
I've not looked but a port and lemon later would be nice :)

..First let's get a few things straight. There's no worm in tequila, or at least there isn't supposed to be. Purists (hah!) say the worm belongs only in a related product, mescal. Strictly speaking, mescal is a generic term meaning any distillate of the many species of agave (or maguey) plant, tequila included. Today, however, mescal is popularly understood to mean a product bottled in the region around the city of Oaxaca. For years this stuff was basically home-brewed firewater consumed by the locals, but in 1950, Mexico City entrepreneur Jacobo Lozano Paez hit on the idea of putting a worm in each bottle as a marketing gimmick. Stroke of genius, eh? I don't get it either, but that's what separates us from the visionaries.

The critter in question is the agave worm, which is actually a butterfly larva. The worms bore into the agave plant's pineapplelike heart, and quite a few get cooked up in the brew used to make mescal. Far from being grossed out, Jacobo concluded that the worm was an essential component of the liquor's flavor and color. He may also have figured, Hey, mescal is about as palatable as paint remover, and the only people who are going to drink this stuff are macho lunatics, so why not take it to the max? In fairness, the worms were also said to have aphrodisiac properties, and worms and bugs are sometimes consumed in Mexico as a delicacy. (Supposedly this dates back to the Aztecs.) At any rate, the ploy worked and the worm in the bottle is now a firmly established tradition.

The genuine agave worm is a bright coral color, which fades to pink in the bottle. Some bottlers substitute a species of white worm that lives in the leaves of the agave plant. Connoisseurs complain that the white worm isn't as tasty as the red one, which to me is like complaining that your soup contains the wrong species of fly. >>
don't they eat some strange things abroad
