Absorbtion of Alcohol

If I drank a pint of ale and 1 hour later drank a few pints of water. Would my body have already absorbed most of the alcohol?

I think there's 3 units of alcohol in a pint. Take about 3 hours for the liver to deal with it.

I am not sure what you mean by "absorbed" most of the alcohol, but i suppose that you mean get into your blood stream.

This varies from person to person and also with the contents of the stomach...e.g after a meal.

Generally speaking, we are looking at 45mins to an hour for all the alcohol to pass through the stomach and into the intestine to be absorbed into the blood stream.
