Why do women not like being on their own for any length of time but most men don't mind? Is this why a lot of women get into relationships with totally unsuitable men just so they are not alone?

i have no problems with my own company, good thing really as i live alone. i have never understood people who jump from relationship to relationship.
Nope..love time on my own.... Fluffy... aaahhh.. hugs...
"Why do women not like being on their own for any length of time but most men don't mind?" Because Women cant cope well without a man for those important jobs :-)
I don't mind my own company, kinda get used to it after years of living on my own, Think I'd find it hard to share "may space" with anyone now.
Ratters...grrrrr....
I am also very happy to be on my own for great lengths of time. I don't live on my own, but if I didn't have my OH, I certainly could live alone, and wouldn't crave another relationship - no way!!!

In my opinion it's mostly men that can't cope on their own, because they need 'looking after' Men apparently like the security of marriage more than women (even if they stray more)

Women are copers generally. They have to be. I don't need a man - never have!!

End of sermon.
i enjoy my own company...............Ratter, TUT TUT !!!!!!!!!
I'm perfectly happy in my own company. Apart from my close family and a couple of good friends there are days when I think I really wouldn't care if I never spoke to anybody else again.

I do know a couple of woman who always seem to go straight from one ' serious' relationship to the next with no pause, they seem to get very lonely if they have to spend any time on their own. Everybody's different, I suppose...
May space????

My space, even!
I love being on my own but then I love Bill being here too, best of both worlds I would say :o)
Thin ice Ratter :-((
I'm a woman and I love my own company. I have lived on my own for many years, and have also been in relationships. I prefer being on my own if I'm honest. I have never relied on men, never been one to "Always" have to have a man. I cannot understand these women who "Need" a man.

Unlike my Mum who has never been single after she split up with my Dad. Always a man on the scene.
Those jars won't open themselves Ratter!

Own company is fine, selected other peoples company is fine (I don't like being out with a group of people largely made up of people I don't know. Don't think it's just women, I've known men like that.
lol murray, i love it i really couldn't go back to sharing my space with anyone, esp my bed. boyfriends have to have their own place!
Especially with that new matress Fluffy !!!
What!!! What did I say?
Dangerous ground there Ratter!!

I'm fine on my own when I have to be, except i'm never really on my own! Hubby can be away for 4-5 days at a time, never usually more than a week (volcanoes and flight restrictions not withstanding!) I have my doggies, and friends, besides which, you're more than a phone call away from anybody. But I do understand what you mean about some women, who will be in a relationship, ANY kind of relationship rather than having no man at all, and it's ridiculous when they'd be far happier on their own if they but know it.
i love my bed!

snorer's are the worst, i'm a really light sleeper :-(
I chose to be on my own for 20 years after my divorce. Didn't want any more heartache! I was qute happy on my own, had plenty of friends to have good times with and was busy bringing up my three children. I was fairly good at DIY, so did all the jobs I needed to around the home and friends helped when I couldn't manage. So, you are wrong, dearest ratter! Women can often cope with those important jobs! lol Having said that, I am so delighted to have a loving man who is very good at such things and better at them than I could be now. So, you are much appreciated my love! But women are far more capable than many men would like us to be!! Allowing them to help gives them a sense of being manly and superior ... Bless, they do need this sometimes!! The things we women have to put up with ... lol!! :o)
I don't like being on my own much. I'm alright for a little while if there are things I want or need to do but if my mind is allowed to wonder of it's own accord then I want to be around someone, usually the boyfriend.
