Thanks Albaqwerty. I followed the thread for a while before I actually joined it. I have five pounds to lose, but my rate of weight loss is incredibly ssssllooooowwww!
Good luck for Wednesday everyone, and have a lovely weekend :-)
Current weight = 14st 3. Desired weight = 14st (15st on 1st Jan)
No fags since new year, no alcohol since new year (until tonight maybe!!)
3-4 x hard sessions in the gym per week for the last 4 weeks and some training at home too.
Good staple diet, cut down on anything with saturated fat. Lots of Steak, Chicken and tuna. Sweet Potato's are ace and full of goodness, been wolfing them down. Plenty of fruit and veg. LOADS of water to detox and re-hydrate. 7-8hrs sleep per night, makes a big difference in my energy levels, was going for weeks on 5ish hours per night and ran myself into the ground!
Hi and welcome JD you have done well plus the fact that you have stopped smoking as well as that is usually when there is a weight gain. Keep up the good work .See you Wednesday for Onwards and Downwards
Cheers. Re the fags, I started to gradually cut down from 10per day (in August) to only 3 per day (December) made quiting all together easier as a new years resolution, for me anyway. Havent craved food as a result of quiting!
Morning all

Hows everyone doing ? Im hoping to lose 2lbs this week but going my scales this morning I might not. Its hovering on only 1lb loss. Anyway, tomorrow night will tell.

Onwards and downwards and good luck
Hi JD, Lovely to "see" a new face. I quit smoking 2 years ago in January and the weight rocketed so started my weight lose programme as a result of it. Sometimes I forget that I gained weight because of stopping smoking. I snacked much more than I had done previously which was no help. Without cigarettes the alcohol also went (and the telephone conversations which for me went hand in hand with a cigarette) I found quitting smoking after many decades much easier than loosing the weight, but have a new life style eating wise and will never return to the old one. I hope you reach your goal and we are all here to help you if we can. Onwards and downwards..............
Morning all well it's Wednesday again and I don't have a weight loss to report. I have not been 100% good and it's taken me awhile to get back on track.I have stayed the same which is the only thing I am pleased about .From July till Xmas I lost every week with some weeks staying the same but from today now everything that is weight gaining is gone and I will not give up I have to lose this other stone and not undo all the good work I have done. Onwards and Downwards. Hope you have done well.
Hello All, The good news is that I'm down a bit this week but it should be a wee bit more........the spirit is willing etc..............
Hope the rest of you have good things to report. Onwards and downwards!
Morning all, I've lost 2lb (including the naughty one that crept on last week). As long as its downwards thats all that matters to me.

Its in the right direction Xstitcher so its all good :o)
Well done you tigerblue10. Now that is what I call a proper feel good jump up and down for joy weight loss!

Keep up the good will power!
3.5 lbs this week, and slimmer of the week at slimming world too... onwards and downwards
OH WOW rowanwitch.........well done you!!! You must feel on top of the world. Aren't you all being clever this week.
Well done everyone looks like I am bottom this week but as I said staying the same is ok but will do better for next week .Watch this space.
We've all been there Wendilla......you have done so well, maybe your body says leave me alone a bit.......I have such good news that has nothing to do with this but hope I'm allowed to tell you.
My 1½ year old granddaughter (has a twin brother) has Congential Muscular Dystrophy and has just had her second time in hospital...this time with the flu, but because of this handicap her lungs are very weak and she has to be in hospital. Today she came home and her brother is killing her with love. Poor Pelle who is a smiley boy has been coming home from nursery and searching for little Mai. When he can't find her he cries and becomes very naughty. Now she is home and their little twin world is right again. I wish you could see the picture of them snuggeling up in the back seat of the car on their way home. I am a very happy Nanny tonight because of this.
There is another thing I have been meaning to say.....I can't remember who it was that mentioned eating a bit of 0% fat yogurt to calm the hunger. I have chosen to do that with out any flavouring. It tastes awful, but I eat it and I don't feel like eating anything then until 6 pm. Thank you for telling me about that.
xstitcher - I have to eat fat free natural yoghurt as part of a treatment for cystitis - it is disgusting. I posted a thread on here to find a way to eat it without heaving against it. Lots of suggestions, but the one that worked for me was to put some honey with it to make it taste nicer. Can still taste it a bit but the honey disguises the sourness.
Well done everyone

I havnt done so well, stayed the same. Dont know why. Ive been really good this last week. I think maybe Im not eating enough sometimes.

I always have natural yog with a bit of honey and some omega seed mix or poured over melon or fruit. You get used to it. One of the members brought some yoghurt cake last week. It was beautiful. She gave me the recipie so our top chef and work made it yesterday and we can have it today. Looking forward to it. Will post recipie on food and drink later this morning when Ive had another taste.

Good luck everyone for this week
Hi xstitcher so sorry to hear about your grandaughters illness.but now she is home things wil pick up and there is nothing like the love of a happy and loving family. I can just see his face when she came back and being twins will make them always want to to be close. There is nearly 6 years difference between my 2 grandchildren which are cousins to each other and when the youngest was 3 ish the elder one used to always be the one to win . I don't mean by bullying but now as the eldest is 13 and younger is 8 they are now the best of friends and have the same interests. I hope things will improve for her .
