If the limit for women is 2-3 units per day, and I on average get through 2 bottles of wine between Fri eve and sunday lunchtime, and taking that there is approximately 9 units per bottle . . . surely I am within government limits?????

Units per day over Fri, Sat and Sun = 9

2 bottles of wine at 9 units each = 18

It's not always how much you drink, it's how you drink it. I opened a bottle of wine at 4pm the other day. I was still drinking it at 11pm. Drinking that slowly your body can handle.

In my reckoning nelly, yes you are.
But the nanny state would also class you as a binge drinker.

Don't worry about it - if you have none at all during the week, I would say you're ok.
