dry , powdery skin.My friend has a young baby about 9 months old.

The little one has extremely dry powdery skin ,so much so that when you undress her it is like a cloud of dust in her clothes. The wee one is due to see a consultant soon ,but mum is worried.this skin condition seems to be all over her body ,Any ideas anyone .Squad if you are around would value your help. TIA.
