In Old English 'snytan' meant 'to blow one's nose' and so 'gesnot' was part of the verb. It's connected with 'snout', meaning an animal's nose-area, too.
Its not :-)
Because it snot called anything else

When you see a bunny

And its nose is runny

And you think it's funny

It's (s)not!

19:15 - Now this really i snot funny just after I've eaten my dinner! :D)
I thought it was a booger, but it snot. I hate when that happens.
Because it feels like what it is when spelt backwards and have you found it runs in families.
