What happened to Ethel?

I think something bad might have happened to Ethel. She last posted sometime in March and no-one has heard from her since.
It certainly doesn't look good, does it?

It could also be that she was sick and tired of reading the drivel that was being posted on here and went to pastures new.

She was very rarely in CB though ummmm. Most of the time in other topics. I think she knew which threads NOT to read.

I agree with ummm.... don't think chatterbank was really her cup of tea over the last 6 months. I hope nothing awful has happened.. I think she's found somewhere more intellectual and refined.

Lexie, something bad might have happened to Ethel, or she might have decided to stop posting on here. I could tell from my last few chats with her, she was getting fed up of certain users.

I had contact with her outside of AB (only loosely, I might add) and the last thing she said to me was that she had "boogered off" - her exact words.

I have tried to check that she is okay, but have had no luck with it. She mentioned medical problems, so although I hate to think the worse .... who knows?

That's what I'm thinking too. No-one would know to let us know if anything had happened to her.

She often mentioned her medical problems on here and I too have wondered what happened and sincerely hope she is OK. She did post, didn't she, after she came back from her month in the Canaries? - I might be mistaken.

Perhaps an indiscreet drive past her home to see if its occupied could reveal a clue?

i hear she was too late in answering a question because she wasn't ready. it caused her alot of embarassment, and shame.

Bless her, she'd be mortified every time someone got in there with an answer quicker than her.

She always fascinated me - I always felt she had quite a few stories to tell about her life, and often tried to wheedle them out.

Tambo, I went further than a discreet drive past her home. I drove down to her address and spoke to who I thought was her neighbour. I had no intention of knocking on Ethel's door, I don't know that that would have gone down too well with her.

The 'neighbour' said that no-one called Ethel lived in the Close, but there was a street with the same name in two villages/towns in the area, and they were regularly mixed up by taxi drivers.

I couldn't find the two other places on my SatNav, it has never been updated, but I think that Ethel has/had lived in the same house for at least ten years anyway, so the mystery deepened. I had to give up my search.

I have an email address but I know that she changed it when she was having a problem with someone on AB sending her unpleasant emails.

I get a message saying 'voicemail failed' on her Skype number. She doesn't have a landline telephone.
