I have had very strange symptoms which over the past few days are getting worse. I have felt unsteady/off balance for the past few years which is getting worse and i am beginning to feel house bound rather than going out alone and looking drunk. I had a ct scan 2 years ago which was normal. The dr has just put me on some tablets for inner ear/balance conditions. The past few days every bone in my body is aching and i keep getting a very crampy stomach ache which comes in waves and when it comes i feel very very sick. I really dont feel myself at all and its beginning to make me very tearful and panicky because i cant walk away from it. I am 38, have had blood tests in the past 3 weeks all ok and blood pressure fine too.

call your GP or at the very least NHS direct!
the feelings of aching and stomach pains may be nothing to do with the balance problem.

thanks for that. only saw my dr on monday about all this!!!
i am not attempting to make a diagnosis - only to share my experience.
For some reason after suffering a cold or virus I now suffer with vertigo. Inner ear balance issues.
One minute I am fine - then if I bend over - I literally fall over! Sometimes its minor sometimes so major its literally like I am really really pi****d and my head spins like a helicopter and my eyes cant fix on a static object and spin in my head too

I went to Docs - cant really do much for it medically other than sea-sickness tablets but told me to practice some exercises to re-balance my ears.
Just trying to find them now for you!
I cant seem to find them. I was sure they were written by Catherine Cawksey or similar name. You basically do the manouvre that triggers the dizziness and repeat it several times a day and the brain eventually re-sets itslef.

You really do need to see your GP again though as you seem very concerned and you should trust your instinct if you feel so very unwell.
nosha....could it be Cooksey -Cawthorne?

Seems to ring a bell.
YES MOHNE!!! Well done!! It was there.. right on the tip of my tongue!!!!
Nosha...thank you.
Hi lynnylou, a few months ago I had a bout of unbalance, felt like I could'nt walk in a straight line and I must say it was a really horrible sensation. After going to the Doc's, he put it down to high blood pressure, no medication or anything just had to get on with it. Anyway just a suggestion, I got those Travel Sickness Bands, you wear them on your wrist, they might help you? you can get them from Boots Stores. My unbalance seems to have settled down, just the odd occasion. Feels like your drunk without the booze lol. Good luck
could it be swine flu - isn't that supposed to make you feel sick, aching and exhausted?
Swine flu?..must have temperature.

I agree with redcrx.....abdominal symptoms are nothing to do with the balance problem, see your GP.
