Do not titter!!! I've bought a shopping trolley on wheels. Argggghh! Taking it out for the first time today in the City centre. Why do I feel self conscious? At least its not loud & checked lol! My neck & shoulders have begun to ache with the weight of shopping bags, so with much sadness I've given in! What next, a blue rinse? ;0(

Now sachs, don't get ahead of your self with the blue rinse, I think the next step is having your front door key on a piece of string round your neck LOL.......
Welcome to the club Sachs! I've had a plain black one for years, it's great. You'll wonder how you managed without it but be warned, it's tempting to buy more 'cos you haven't got to carry heavy bags!
poodi -they do make bright funky ones, ask B00, she found lots of sites when she was looking for one.
oooooo, be prepared to be the target of a barrage of tuts, dirty looks, and even abuse, the city centre???? Are you crazy??? That's just asking for trouble, I would have a few practise sessions round your local area to get the 3 point turn and queueing methods down to a fine art before venturing further afield.

Hi poodi/ rinkins. I'm in good shape on the outside HONEST lol! But on the inside I'm all wrinkly and worn ;0)
agree with dot!
don't forget to practice clipping people's ankles too :D
I have a knackered back and neck and my partner has knackered elbows so we recently decided to get ourselves a shopping trolley.............neither of us were particularly delighted by the idea but agreed that seeing as we didn't really have any other options we may as well make a statement and so have brought a red tartan one and are currently toying with the idea of 'souping it up'.............:o)
all's fair in the battle of shopping trolleys & baby buggies!
get some go faster stripes for it jack and some furry dice on the handle lol

Robinia, snap! mines a classy black one too! I buy a lot of fruit which is sooo heavy!
lol dot! I might get trolley rage if people get in my way! I'm a considerate shopper, always aware of where people are! But theres always one isn't there! Grrrrr!
Skyp its a British thing.
Over here guys use them all the time to g to the supermercado.
they even have chains to lock them up at the shop entrances.
They do various colours and types , the 3 wheels each side is great with staircases. As i said its just a Brit thing don't worry , if they had to hike home with 8 ltr bottles of water they'd use one too.

Btw no i don't have one.
Though i have a man-bag , of course , who doesn't ?
Why do women have items that inflict pain on men...Shopping trolleys, baby buggies & worst of all blOOdy umbrellas grrr..
Question Author
jackthehat, yep! I agree!
lol dot! furry dice! Maybe we should have specific trolley lanes painted on to the pavement ??? ;0))
Have you got a mini umbrella with flowers on?

... the sort that you can only use once, because they always turn inside out and snap?

Question Author

Oooh! I can carry bottles of wine secretly! ;0))
haha, I love the trolley lane idea but what's the betting I'd get stuck behind one of those 4 wheelers every time :o)
carrust, perhaps if the men were to do the shopping themselves they would discover the answer?
A SHOPPING TROLLEY!!????
NOOOOO.......never!!

I started putting all my shopping in a backpack a year or so ago.....best thing ever. I hate having to carry anything-so it is ideal. No backache,or aching joints either
