why am i still heavy?

hey folks,

ive been cutting calories and doing intense cardio and lifting, ect EVERY DAY for 2 weeks now and my weight refuses to go down. whats up? i turn 31 tomorrow- do y'all think this is happening because of my age?

please help,

If you are gaining more muscle you will weigh more. If you are losing fat you will lose inches.
Measure yourself once a month and you will be pleasantly surprised.

thank you for your encouraging reply. i DO fit into my jeans again, so you are probably right.
Hi Cister ..... are you eating enough?? I made this mistake initially when counting calories .... consider this ... it takes around 1400 calories per day for you to just exist, sit, breathe, sleep etc .... and if you are exercising too it may be that your body is in self preservation mode and is storing everything you are consuming as it may think you are going on hunger strike. You may need to eat more than you ever have but of the right stuff .... eating more fruit and veg etc means that I never seem to stop eating yet I have lost 2 stones in just over 2 months with moderate increase in exercise ....

thanks, this website is so amazing. many trainers have told me that if i ate and rested more, i would see phenomonal results.

I'm just always afraid that more food puts on weight, and that cutting back in the gym does the same thing.
