My girlfriend has plastic-like bits coming from her vagina, and started to smell differntly. I am concernd for her. She is hesitant to go to the GP as she is waiting for private gynaecologist's appoinment. Is it some kind of health disorder that women can have time to time? Or will it last for long time? Can I be affected in any way? Do you know where I can get good advice on the net? Many thanks.

Go to the GP. Or to a clinic if she is embarrassed. Any unusual vaginal dischaarge should be investigated, as should changes in odour. It is not possible to say what the cause is without an examination, but if she has any of the common STD's , or thrush then you may well get it yourself.
