what makes you ask this?
usually after your cycle has finished you ovulate 10-14 days later. Sometimes you can actually tell because some women have a clear discharge at the same tme.

Thanks for your response. I ask this because i am using ovulation predictor tests and had a faint positive on day 5 and my temperature rose after this. I had negative tests the rest of the cycle
I'm afraid I don't know about the tests, I know they pick up hormone levels but do you notice the type of discharge that I mentioned? I always know when I ovulate, I get like a quick sharp pain in the area that the fallopian tubes are and I get a discharge
Question Author
i do check for discharge but didnt at that time because i thought it would have been too early to ovulate. Just a little confused because my temperature went up and stayed up after then. Thanks vey much for your help anyway, i'll just have to wait and see

The ol wives tale of being unable to get pregnant when on your period was proved wrong many a time :)
