Hi guys, I'm thinking of buying my dad a back massage cushion for christmas. He is a injection dependent diabetic and something makes me question whether this is safe to do. can someone advise me? Many thanks guys!

i would think it would be fine. it's things like foot spa's which are not recommended because of nerve damage to the extremeties (toes, feet, hands) from diabetes, which could mean hot/cold/pain sensation is not good. a person with diabetes complications could therefore put their feet into very hot water, or have ill fitting shoes which rub and cause a sore, etc., and not notice, leading to unhealed sores or ulcers, potentially leading to amputation.
