Please can I have the diet info where you can lose a stone in a week? I can just about stick to a diet for a week, I find that I can't keep to it longer than that! I would love to lose a stone, not that I'm fat but I'm not as slim as I used to be lol BB xx

Would that be the All-you-can-eat-hamburger-diet?

Hey Boo,

i think that may be the diet I'm on at the mo lol

Someone said something about a banana and milk diet but not sure I could stomach that, 9 meals a day for a whole week!

Hey its tallulah, (two posts before yours) what i found out was to lose just a pound you have to use up 3000cal, and bear in mind you only burn off 2000cals a day.
So the only way to lose even 7pounds a week is to not eat at all and burn off an extra 1000cal a day through exercise....if that makes sense... But of course you have to eat so its much more sensible to aim for losing a stone in a month like me. A stone in a week HAS TO BE water weight!

I think im going to try the cabbage soup diet. My mum did it a few years back and lost 5 pounds in a week as it has NO cals at all but has alot of vitamins. I hate cabbage so posted my question to see if anyone had anymore ideas but with no success. Well good luck and i hope this helps x

Thanx Tallulah,

I think it is unrealistic to lose this amount of weight in a week as you say.

BUT if there is a diet out there I may just give it a go!

I have been on a 'diet' for the past 10wks and have lost at least 2 and a half stones.
I have Special K and skimmed milk for breakfast -then have some chicken during the day as well as snacking on fruit all day.Sounds boring but its not -specially when you see the weight falling off you.O and drink about 2-3 litres of water a day.No alcohol -although I do indulge in wine at the weekends -but not every weekend.
I also take a supplement -antioxident -called Green Tea -I took it to boost my immune system but lo and behold it also aids weight loss -yippee -have told others and its working for them as well.I get it out Tescos.
Good Luck anyway.

Thanks Drisgirl,

I know it makes more sense to do it properly. I gained about half a stone & thought it would be fine but now I've gained another one, so ideally I would like to lose a stone.

I don't seem to be able to stick to a diet for more than two weeks before I have a mega munch out lol

My bf doesn't help, all he eats is, chinese, chocolate, crisps etc!

Thanks again BB xx
Start exercising. I found it supresses the the food cravings and of course burns calories. Go for Cv (Cardio vasculor) classes/exercises so running, spinning, general cycling etc.

Reduce your carbohydrate in take and up your protein (your body cant store protein so it wont sit around the middle as fat!

I've done the cabbage soup diet although, Tallulah, I dont like cabbage either so I just used vegetables. Basically, get the recipie and use everything other than the cabbage. But you will find it hard to work out with such a restricted calorie diet. You're best bet is to adopt a 1 week diet of chicken, fish, fruit, vegetables, small amount of nuts and mid week have a Jacket potato for dinner (stop the carb cravings). Could throw in some low calorie soup as well, dont starve yourself! Dont drink alcho and keep your water in take to 2 liters a day, throughout the day, although if you're working out make sure you stay hydrated. Just be sensible, it will be hard at first but once the weight starts to move you'll feel far more committed to it and want to see more weight budge.

Good Luck
