I am having the symptons of indigestion (so I am assuming it is that) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? I seem to always be chewing 'Rennies' but I just cannot get rid of it. What I eat doe not seem to effect it, I can not eat, I can eat bland food, spicey food, etc.

It is so uncomfortable and painful, seem to be breathing out slowly trying to reduce the pain.

Any ideas?

Hi Amber
Think the best thing to do is to see your GP. Your symptoms could be one of many and only your GP will be able to find out what the problem is.
I had years of the same symptoms as yourself and it was due to reflux in the gullet.
I was put on medication (Losec) and can eat or drink anything now. never had any indigestion since then. The pain was unbearable but I am fine now. See you GP asap
I had something similar before I had me appendix out.
It was causing the problem.. before the pain hit and it went pop and I really didn't mind a doctor sticking his finnger where nothing else ...well you have the idea.
I went to the GP the ass said it was a stomach ulcer 6 hours later POP ! not nice

You need to get yourself of to GP pronto and get checked, If you feel the gp doesn;t get it right go back again till he/she does.
Good luck
I agree with the previous posts, that you need to see your GP. If the pain is severe then you need to go to hospital. Sounds drastic, but if it is something severe like a stomach/duodenal ulcer then you may need an operation. OK, it's worst case scenario, but it's a possiblitly.

At the moment, it sounds like you need a gastroscopy, where they pass a thin tube down your throat into your stomach, allowing the operator to visualise your oespohagus and stomach. Sounds horrible, but not as bad as people realise.

Alternatively, it may be something relatively simple that can be treated with Lanzoprazole (Losec) or Ranitidine. there is no point on reaching for something like Gaviscon as Rennie's are not helping. If you are really not keen on going to the GP, then you can buy Ranitidine at your chemist and try that for a week.

However, given the severity of the pain and discomfort you are experiencing, I'd suggest getting a medical review.

Hope you get it resolved soon. Good luck!
