meningitis after effects

My husband is now 32 and had meningitis when he was 2. It left him profoundly deaf, He often has headaches and tinnitus as well as not being able to sleep and wondered if any one knows if this is a common side effect of having meningitis? Any info is helpful. x

don't know about the meningitis, but i know two profoundly deaf people who were born this was, both from completely different walks of life. both have insommnia and persistent frequent headaches. not sure about the tinnitus.
