Hi

My son's dentist told me that my son has lost %20 of his gums. The condition of his gums is like that of a 50 year old man. I have a feeling that it was caused by the monocycline antibiotics that he took for one and a half years when he was 17. Does anyone have an idea what might have caused this? I know that it sounds like a mystry to a lot of people, but someone take an educated guess.

Thank You

I'd have thought your dentist would have been the best person to answer this question, or perhaps a doctor???

hi there, do you know if your son smokes because l know from experience smoking is a big factor!!!

No my son does not smoke. My son's doctor and gums specialist still insist that it is a mystery. My son went ahead and had his gums cleaned. Hopefully this will put an end to it.
