Apparently a caller to LBC radio commented that if the Tory government can pass a law that says Rwanda is safe place – then why not pass a law that says Sunak has met all his 5 pledges?

Surely Sunak meeting the 5 pledges would be an election winner - and as the law says it is so, who could claim otherwise?

A brilliant idea IMHO.

The Tory government thinks it will work for Rwanda – why not Sunak’s pledges?

😕

Rwanda must be safe.

Up to a point I can understand pledges being made in the run up to a GE albeit a load of poppycock, but to make them when you are already in number 10 with no where near enough time to impliment them is just really crazy. Sunak put his own head on the chopping block.

One can check if pledges have been met, even if sometimes there are grey areas to argue over. But whether a country is safe is more subjective. Maybe the best way to set it's official status is to see of some respected nations or other groups are happy to send folk there. Like, for example, plucking one out of thin air, maybe the UN ?

The Tories could pass a law saying a dog is a cat. So what. There is truth and reality, and also there is Tory lies
