Hi...what a pain! I always get diflucan one for my thrush, which costs about 12 for the one tablet but you can get it unbranded which is called fluconazole and that is about 7. You take the one tablet and after a few hours........no more thrush!
However, I have never used this for treating thrush in my mouth, you might want to check with the pharmacist on that one! : ) Hope it clears up!

thanks i know plain yoghurt is a natural remedy and nystatin but dont know if nystatin can be bought or obtained by presription.
I would see the doctor if I were you. Oral thrush can get very nasty indeed. I had it really badly once and my doctor gave me some prescription lozenges which cleared it up.
I had a similar thing after taking antibiotics, and I got Daktarin gel from over the counter in Boots. It cleared it up withing a few days.

Dilute some vinegar with boiled water and gargle. Brush your teeth afterwards to protect them from the acid though.
