I have a mild ache in my left calf, it is a bit uncomfortable, I notice it mainly when sitting, it goes off in the night. It isn’t hot or swollen. Anyone know what it could be? I do have arthritis in my left hip, which I have had for a few years now. Thanks all.

Not to worry smurfy, no big deal, its not a blood clot either in your leg veins or arteries, not a problem with circulation and is not going to do you harm.
From your adequate and helpful post it is a nerve irritation almost certainly from you arthritic left hip.
If it is tolerable, then accept it, but if it becomes a problem to you then take Ibuprofen or Paracetamol and monitor the situation.
