We sat through South Pacific a couple of Christmases ago with our in-laws - my M-I-L is a big fan of Mr Brazzi.

I can honestly say it was one of the most dreadful television experiences of my life - all that subverted homo-erotica (We ain't got dames indeed!!) and the dreadful songs and pointless plot.

I never ever want to see that film again, and I am sure I won't!

My M-I-L thought it was wonderful, but the present Mrs Hughes was firmly in my camp (see, there again!!!).
