i have a small bite 2 eat before i start da gym but as son as i get out i crave food where as if i didnt go gym food wouldnt bother me. also should i eat before i go gym or after? what foods are good to eat and what should i avoid? im new to all this healthy eating things ! thanx if anyone could help xx

rachel are you trying to lose weight??????

 

If so do not eat before the gym. Not only do you run the risk of stomach cramps and vomiting but their is a chance you will not get any nourishment from any goodness you consume. (Also without being rude you may accidentally break wind in the gym,  NOT GOOD)

 

Eat as soon after the gym as possible. Your heart rate and metabolism will still be up for about two hours afterwards so you will burn off more calories. ALWAYS replace water, the more the merrier. Not squash, not juice, not this Lucozade rip off rehydration cr*p, just plain old water.

Also the reason you may feel so hungry after the gym is merely thirst. The body can not differentiate the two at first.

Further if you are doing weights for muscle gain (not fat burning) the sinews will need protein to repair themselves. This is linked however to the fact a pound of muscle burns up more calories than a pound of fat, so don't forget weights are good for fat burning.

thanx 4 ya advice yeh u should b an insturctor u knw quiet alot about it.
All good advice above, make sure though you have eaten something, I mean for example if you go to the Gym at lunch time then, you should have had breakfast in the morning. I tend to train starting at noon so at 11 I have a banana and I find that makes me more enthusiastic about training.
