Is nobody going to add their endorsement of the delights of The Full English over the croissant and coffee endured by our continental cousins?
you been to France lately, they are changing their ways too, i remember being in Paris when the first McDonalds opened, caused quite a stir.
how many calories in a croissant, i bet more than many realise. I like them, but still prefer my egg and bacon on the odd occasion.
I'm not sure what an English diet is.

And we have full Irish :-)

from the link.

Eating like the English could save 4,000 lives a year in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, a study claims.

People in England eat more fruit and vegetables and less salt and fat, reducing heart disease and some cancers, say Oxford University experts.
I read the link. I still don't know what an English diet is.

I know we don't see deep fried mars bars for sale but other than that what's an English diet.
Fry up for breakfast, Fish and Chips for lunch and Roast Beef and Yorkshire Puds for dinner ummmm ;o)

With spotted dick and custard for afters
Lol...

Maybe it's the snacks between meals then :-)
Full English Breakfast in any of its many forms, is great. But as a treat not a regular daily start. Many years since I had a proper holiday but when I used to go for a week on the Med I found one a day enabled me to skip lunch or just grab a snack, as it set me up for the day.

I think we have a large variation of cuisine these days, but eating out aside I suspect most start with something light in the morning, have a main meal at some point with meat & veg, and a lighter meal at some other time. We should all aspire to a proper balanced meat & veg balanced dinner at some point in the day, save for the vegetarians who can aspire to a veg & veg meal. Makes one part way to ones five a day aim.
