going about again, I know last year there was one called nuro virus or something similar doing the rounds is it the same one that's going about again now

Think you mean the Norovirus. I believe this is always around but worse during the winter. Think they call it the winter vomiting bug.
Just came back from a cruise, it was great but at the beginning I was nervous that someone might have brought it onto the ship because it's so infectious even though they do their utmost with cleaning, sanitizing, etc to prevent any spread. Luckily there was no problem.
