I couldn't go for my MRI a couple of weeks ago and I remade the appointment for today as we have been to Portugal for the last 11 days. They couldn't give me a sedative as they weren't qualified. Anyhow, I did it and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be! It was very noisy and I kept my eyes closed the whole time. I have another appointment next Wednesday for a chest x-ray. I have also received two other appointments for different things, so over the last few weeks and the coming month I will have visited four different hospitals and a clinic!

Glad it went ok. I've had a fair few MRI scans and the noises fascinate me in a way - moreso after a sciency friend explained what made the noises but I've forgotten now!

Sounds like you have a lot going on, I feel like I'm in and out all the time a lot and it can get quite wearing but hopefully it's helping them help you get better.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

Thanks Eve. I wasn't looking forward to the MRI at all but I know I had to have it so they can find out what's wrong. Glad it's done though!
Well done, Kathyan!
Often these things are not as bad as you think they will be.

Thanks Pete. I think it's fear of the unknown more than anything but I am quite proud of myself for doing it!
You're braver than me. I pressed the emergency button after just a few seconds the first time. Claustrophobia had set in, big time. They filled me with all manner of drugs for the second one and I have no recollection of it at all!
