I have no idea about your condition and not a physio but did they say anything about whether the treatment may cause some pain?

Definitely mention to them that it's aggravating things in case they need to revise their treatment plan.

In my last bout of physio one of them was trying to treat "stiff ribs" and release them off but the more physical type of physio (usually had acupuncture) kicked off a fibromyalgia flare so they revised their treatment options so as not to aggravate things.
When I had physio on my shoulder it hurt loads afterwards every time. If I'm honest it didn't help either.

what helped you in the end Prudie.
I dislocated my right shoulder in September, and physio once a fortnight for half an hour did not help the stiffness and was causing it to ache afterwards . However. a six week shoulder class at Leicester Royal Infirmary that I started in January did wonders. It was an hour of moving round ten activities with others who had shoulder problems. People were all at different stages and came and went accordingly, but everyone was very friendly and we encouraged each other. The physios were able to assess us as we went along, and we all worked hard because of being in a group. It was very helpful. As I was improving, but still unable to do everything, I had an extra two weeks, but am now signed off.It made loads of other muscles ache, but it was good therapy. There is usually pain after therapy as one goes a bit further each time. That is my experience, but if yours is constant pain you should definitely mention it to the physio.
