Sore hip

Hi everyone
Just over a month ago I fell heavily on my hip (my suitcase on wheels clobbered the back of my legs and I landed on my right side). I had a spectacular bruise which got bigger and spread all down my outer thigh over the following week.
My queston is should it still be sore now? It hurts if I lie on that side but is ok when I walk etc.
I work for a chiropractic clinic and one of our practitioners thinks I may have bruised the bone. If this is the case when can I expect it to be better?
I should add that I am 62 and had a bone density test fairly recently, which was fine so I doubt I have a crack in the bone.
Thanks
Maz xx

I'm no medical expert, but after a heavy fall as you describe I think it would still be sore.
Have you had it x-rayed?
It takes ages to heal. Rest as often as you can.
Are you walking normally? If yes...then it is a soft tissue injury and will settle.

If NO......you are limping....then you will need an X Ray

Thanks for the repiles-Albaqwerty, no I haven't had it x-rayed as yet but if it keeps on, I'll ask my GP. Thanks Ummmmm and Sqad-maybe it's just a case of waiting then because it doesn't hurt unless I put pressure on it.
Best wishes
