Sounds a lot to me.
Will your doctor not arrange such a test for you? Has your doctor never discussed food intolerances with you? There are some foodstuffs which are most often associated with IBS
IgG tests for the diagnosis of food allergy are of limited value, so I would say not worth the money.
This is a summary of the 2007 House of Lords report on the subject..

"We are concerned both that the results of allergy self testing kits available to the public are being interpreted without the advice of appropriately trained healthcare personnel, and that the IgG food antibody test is being used to diagnose food intolerance in the absence of stringent scientific evidence…We urge general practitioners, pharmacists and charities not to endorse the use of these products until conclusive proof of their efficacy has been established"

I agree with slaney...........

Firstly ....has food intolerance/allergy anything to do with IBS.

Secondly....even if it has, then the demonstration of antibodies (IgA) in the blood may have nothing at all to do with food allergy.

Don't waste your money...............in my opinion.
I agree. Don't waste your money. Keep a food diary,to identify which foods make it worse. Also try googling FODMAP diet which has been proven to work. Curiously it suggests avoiding all the foods which I have discovered make my symptoms worse. Have you tried probiotic drinks? These sometimes help.

Thank you all for your time an advice .i will not be taking the test .Ive looked up the fodmap looks interesting .
thanks again
Worth asking your GP about the low FODMAP diet, janome, but as it is very restrictive, should not be done without advice from GP/dietitian.
