Hi there
I have taken 2 weeks holiday off my voluntary job in September and I intend to use them and not waste them by going away for 2 nights. Possibly to York. 3 hours away on a train. I am not good at travelling so it will be a very last minute decision I told my mum who is fine with this as she would need to cat sit for me . The cat hates my mum she spits and hisses at her but I reckon she Is going to have to put up with her if she Is she is going to get fed by her !! She lives 1 mile away so no need for her to stay just pop in and out.
Anyway she has worried me she says what would happen if I went away for 2 nights to York and took Covid-19 when I was there or got symptoms and had to take a test there and it came back positive? I wouldn't be able to use public transport to get home I would have to quarantine in my hotel and what if i didn't bring enough money for that? Who would pay? Not sure if she Is trying to throw a spanner in the works so she doesn't have to look after the cat!! But she does have a point what would happen? I've had both vaccinations but I know 2 people who have had both but have still got Covid-19 felt quite rough for a week, no hospital but had to isolate obviously

Then don't get a test
You have had the vaccine. Go enjoy your holiday it's only two days. Wear a mask on the train and in crowded places
Dont get tested, just enjoy yourself.
